Times Magazine Announced ‘Bilkis Bano,’ Dadi Of Shaheen Bagh As Influential People Among The List Of 100

After the Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi were added in the list of the most influential people of the world, another name has been added in Times Magazine’s liat of top 100 influential people of the world.

The lady with sparkle in the eyes named as “Dadi of Shaheen Bagh” has now become one of the influential people among the 100 in the world. She is 82 years old. She protested against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at the small neighbourhoods of Shaheen Bagh in Southern Delhi.

On Wednesday her name is become in 100 world influential people in the world by Times Magazine. It is said “Bilkis become a symbol of resistance in a nation.” She raised a voice for those women and minorities who protests against Citizenship Amendment Act.

When the bill was passed, she walked from her home to protest against that bill she was not the one there were many people with her who walked with her and sit at the Shaheen Bhag, and her face becomes most prominent face at her age.

Ranna Ayyub said in a statement, “Bilkis deserves recognition so the world acknowledges the power of resistance against tyranny.”

She gave her interview to TOI in January, “India is the country of our birth. We may have all the papers but our fight is for the disadvantages who may not have the documents or any kind of prove their citizenship”.

TOI took her interview on phone when she was attended a wedding in Bulandsheher she said, “I still pray that the government should recall the Law. Our fight is not against with any person. It is for the future and its children.”

She was the one whose name has become as the very first protesters at Shaheen Bagh at Delhi. Along with her, there were thousand people who stayed from day and night for the protests at Delhi.
