SRH tastes first win by 15 runs against DC, Delhi Coach Ricky Ponting accepts being outplayed

In an uncomplicated one-sided game, Sunrisers Hyderabad win by 15 runs against Delhi Capitals. This is their first win in the last three matches.

In the 11th Match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) vs. Delhi Capitals (DC) the Hyderabad team easily secured their first win in the IPL 2020. After losing two matches in their first three games of IPL 2020, this time SRH didn’t disappointed its fans were.

Delhi decided to bowl first winning the toss and were given target of 162 runs chasing which the Delhi team fell 15 runs short making 147/7runs. SRH openers Johnny 45(33) Bairstow and David Warner 53(48) gave it a solid start and later Kane Williamson provided the momentum with his 41runs for 26 balls innings.

SRH bowlers were remarkable, Rashid Khan took wonderful 3 wickets giving 14 runs in 4 overs and was named Man of the Match and B Kumar bowled for 4 overs gave 25 runs taking 2 wickets. However the DC batting almost collapsed in front of the Hyderabad bowling.

Shikhar Dhawan scored the highest 34 runs from DC’s side. Shreyas Iyer of Delhi Capitals was fined Rs 12 lakh given this was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offence.

Delhi Capitals Coach Ricky Ponting admitted that they were outplayed by Hyderabad and refused to blame the pitch.
