Sanju Samson’s Knock helps Royals establish power, straining Super Kings

With the help of splendid partnership of 121 runs between Skipper Steve Smith (69) and Man of the Match Sanju Samson (74) for 2nd wicket, Rajasthan team had a royal start of their IPL Campaign by winning against Chennai Super Kings with 16 runs.
Chennai team was able to make 200 runs chasing RR’s target of 217. Faf du Plessis scored brilliant knock of 72 runs and also Captain Dhoni impressed with his 4 sixes in the 20th over scoring 29 unbeaten on 17 balls but failed to rise to the occasion and it was a rare view seeing MS walk without finishing the match on winning note.
Sanju Samson’s fabulous fifty’s innings is the second joint innings from Rajasthan’s side. Not only with the bat Sanju also impressed everyone with gloves, he caught four batsmen including 2 stumping and 2 catches behind the stump.
CSK immensely missed Rayadu’s presence and also choosing to bowl first despite winning the toss proved to be a wrong decision.
