Ronaldo scores 101 goals for Portugal becomes 25th highest national goal scorer of all times, Griezmann shines in France’s win

World class player and star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo added another feather to his cap by scoring century ‘101’ goals for Portugal in a clash against Sweden on Tuesday 8th September in the ongoing Nation’s League Tournament.

Ronaldo who plays as a ‘Forward’ became the second male player to have scored a century of goals for his national team Portugal, when he scored two goals stealing the show with his extraordinary skills, joining Iran’s former striker Ali Daei Ronaldo jumped around in happiness in an empty Friend’s Arena in Stockholm’s stadium and also performed his trademark celebration which is the mid-air pirouette.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was playing his 165^th national game and already holds the record for most goals 130 in the Champions League which is more than close rival Lionel Messi and has now scored an international goal for the 17th straight calendar year and has also become the 25^th highest national goalscorers of all times .

Portugal started the tournament on a winning note with consecutive victories in their two games the last being a 4-1 clash against Croatia 4-1 on Saturday 5^th September when Ronaldo was excluded because of a toe infection.

Griezmann shines in France’s win:

In the second match Antoine Griezmann shined in France’s victory on Tuesday 8th September in Les Bleus’ 4-2 victory over Croatia in the Nations League.

The Barcelona striker equalised for France just before half-time after Dejan Lovren had put Croatia ahead early on.

Griezmann’s has now moved onto  the fifth place in the elite list of all-time goalscorers for France with his 31st international strike and has now levelled on goals with Zinedine Zidane.
