Rahul & Priyanka Gandhi Meet Hathras Victim’s Family: Hathras Rape Case
Rahul and Priyanka spoke to the family members about the grim situation and assured them to provide all possible aid.
Hathras, Uttar Pradesh: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met the family of Hathras gang-rape victim on Saturday amid protests and clashes with Uttar Pradesh Police.
Just after the meeting with the family Rahul Gandhi told the media, “No force can silence us.”
Priyanka Gandhi also said, “Wherever something wrong happens, we will be there to ensure justice is served. No one can stop us.”
Gandhi met the family along with his 5 MLAs delegation. Gandhi travelled with 30 MLAs delegation from Delhi to Hathras, UP, but UP Police denied the access of 25 MLAs with Gandhis. Shahsi Tharoor was also present in the delegation.
This was their second attempt to meet the family. In a dramatic face-off with UP Police Rahul Gandhi was thrown to ground by UP Police on Thursday, 01-October when Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were walking towards Hathras to meet the victim’s family. We were lathicharged said Rahul on Thursday.
On 02-October Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien was also mishandled by UP Police as he and his party workers tried to meet the Hathras victim’s family.
Hathras’s 20 year ‘Dalit‘ old died on 29 September due to svere multiple injurues in her body. the girl couldn’t survive the hienous incident. She was gang-raped by four ‘Upper Caste‘ men on 14-September. She was admitted to a local hospital and wasn’t treated well. The doctors were unable to operate on her body. She was later shifted to Delhi hospital where she died due to multiple organ failur.
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath announced CBI investigation in the case. Also Allahabad High Court has summoned goverments and police officials to be present in the court on and before 12-October.
