Kings XI Punjab completely out shadowed Royal Challengers Bangalore in a one-sided match on 24th September by 97 runs in Dubai International Stadium.

Batting first, KXIP scored 206/3 in 20 overs. Man of the Match KL Rahul (132 not out) and Mayank Agarwal (26) got Punjab off to a free flowing start. Yuzvendra Chahal (1/25) got RCB the first breakthrough in the 7th over. Shivam Dube who got them their next two wickets, as Rahul kept losing partners in the middle overs.

Dropping Rahul two times proved to be quite disastrous for Challengers. Rahul went into catastrophic mode in the death overs, as KXIP scored 206/3 in 20 overs. RCB, required 207 to win, were off to a dismantling start in the chase, being diminished to 4/3 in the third over.
