IPL 2020: RCB finishes victoriously in a Super over match, Virat Kohli hits the winning shot

In a match that went to super over Royal Challengers Bangalore triumphed, with their two star batsmen Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers on the crease and credit to Navdeep Saini’s brilliant bowling performance.

The 13th match of IPL played between Royals Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians was a roller-coaster ride. Deciding to bowl first MI was given a target of  201/5 attribute to RCB’s balanced opening pair Padikkal and Finch who scored 54 and 52 respectively and a smart finish by AB de Villiers (55) and Shivam Dube (27).

In response to this, MI began their run-chase skilfully, attribute to Ishan Kishan’s masterly innings of 99 runs off 58 balls and Kieron Pollard’s 60 on 24 balls but went on touch the runs one less than the target drawing the match and sending it to super over. Now that’s the beauty of IPL, it takes cricket fanatics to some exciting experiences.

In the nerve wrecking super over Mumbai Indians was restricted to an odd 7 runs by Navdeep Saini’s outstanding bowling performance. MI made 7 runs losing Kieron Pollard’s wicket on 5 runs, responding to this the RCB team produced its two best batsmen Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers who finished the game clenched the game with their batting camaraderie and Virat Kohli hitting the last shot making 8/0 runs. Washington Sundar was another hero with his bowling figures of 12/4 over also taking a crucial wicket of Rohit Sharma.
