Ishant Kishan remained not out on 72 off 47 balls after Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult bagged 3 wicket each as Mumbai Indians beated Delhi Capitals by 9 wickets in the in the 51st match of the Indian Premier League 2020 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Chasing a target of 111-run target, Kishan and Quinton de Kock (26) gathered a 68-run stand for the first wicket.
Anrich Nortje (1/25) removed de Kock in the 11th over. Ishan continued his fine batting thereafter and guided MI to victory with 34 balls to spare. MI won the toss and elected to field first against Shreyas Iyer-led DC. Three wickets each from Jasprit (3 wickets for 17 runs 4 overs) Bumrah and Trent Boult (3 wickets 214 over) restricted Delhi Capitals to 110 for 9 in 20 overs.
Boult removed Shikhar Dhawan (0), Prithvi Shaw (10) and Ravichandran Ashwin (12). Bumrah owned the Purple Cap after claiming the wickets of Rishabh Pant (21), Marcus Stoinis (2) and Harshal Patel (5).
Nathan Coulter-Nile (1/14) and Rahul Chahar (1/24) settled with a wicket each. Ishan Kishan was awarded the man of the match for his skilful innings. The Mumbai side was captained by West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard as Rohit Sharma rested owing to hamstring injury.
