New Delhi: India reported a record high level of coronavirus cases on Sunday, as the Union Health Ministry reported 24,850 new coronavirus cases with 613 COVID deaths in the last 24 hours since 8 am on Saturday.
The total number of infections in India has reached to 674,312. India is just a few hundred cases behind Russia which is the third worst hit country from coronavirus. COVID deaths in India are close to 20,000. Currently the number of COVID deaths in India stands at 19,289.
Meanwhile the recoveries from coronavirus have crossed 4 lakh numbers standing at 409,083. Currently 245,563 coronavirus patients are active in India.
This is the 9th consecutive day that India is recording over 18,000 cases daily.
Global COVID-19 cases have reached to 11,395,442 with 533,773 deaths and 6,450,090 recoveries. Currently global active cases are 4,411,579 and 6,983,863 cases have been closed with an outcome.
