IAF On Alert, Deploys Combat Air Patrols To Check China’s Increased Air Activity

New Delhi: Indian Air Force is on alert as the reports of Chinese Jets intruding in Ladakh and nearby regions. The IAF is monitoring Chinese air activity after the reports.

The Air Combat Patrols are capable to supply arms and ammunitions interceptors from various bases once Chinese air activity is detected over the Indian regions especially in Tibetan plateau where the Chinese army operates many high altitude air bases.

Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria said, “We fly whatever is required and respond to any situation – it includes combat air patrols when it is required.” He clarified about the reports with no incursion reports of Chinese fighter aircrafts over the last few months.

 

He further added, “It should be very clear that we are well prepared and suitably deployed to respond to any contingency. I assure the nation that we are determined to deliver and will never let the sacrifice of the braves of Galwan go in vain.”

The statement of Air Chief Marshal came a day after IAF deployed Apache helicopters and MiG-29, MKI, Jaguar, Mirage 2000 fighters in Leh, Ladakh. AIF also deployed its new Chinook helicopters in Ladakh.

After the incident of India China violent Face-Off, Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria completed a two-day tour of IAF facilities in Kashmir and Ladakh. After the two-day tour he left to IAF academy in Dundigal where he said, “IAF is well prepared for everything and has been tracking all types of activities. We are also closely monitoring Chinese air activity in the region which has been stepped up over the last few months.”

He further said, “China deploys aircraft for training during the summer but this year, the number of deployments have increased. Beyond May, it has been increased further.”
