Sitapur, UP: A video of a hate speech has gone viral on internet after a Hindu priest was seen allegedly threatening Muslim women to “Kidnap and Rape in Public,” while addressing the public in front of a mosque on a loudspeaker from a jeep in Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh.

As the man was delivering his hate-speech the crowd was cheering him with “Jai Shree Ram” slogan. The man alleges that some people are after his life and has plotted a murder against him. He also added that a sum of Rs. 28 lakh has been collected for this plot.

The incident was caught in a video and was shared by Alt-News’ co-founder Mohammed Zubair on his Twitter handle. The man who is speaking in the video was identified by the people on internet as “Bajarang Muni” and is said to be a local Hindu mahant of a small town called Khairabad.

 

Ironically, a man in a police uniform was also visible in the background during his hate-speech delivery.

The co-founder of Alt-News, Mohammed Zubair said that the video was shot on April-02 but no action was taken by the local police even after five days of the incident. Later the Sitapur police responded to his tweet, “A senior officer is investigating the matter and that action will be taken on the basis of facts.”

People on internet have flagged the communal remarks to the UN human rights body and National Commission for Women, seeking strict intervention in the matter.
