The English Premier League has drifts back to a three substitutions as maximum as in matches in the next season when the top clubs have already manifesting to no longer allow only two additional changes.
The English clubs previously supported five substitutions to cope with the crammed up schedule post the 100-day shutdown implemented due to corona outbreak ended in June.
The league will not allow even the temporary use of five substitutions next season even after being allowed by the International Football Association Board to do so. The rule was found favouring bigger clubs with more depth in their squads. Only three will be brought on when the new season will begin from 12th September even after the allowance of seven substitutes on the bench.
