Deceased BJP leader’s family killed in Mandla: Madhya Pradesh

Police officials have been deployed in Maneri village after the bloodshed occurred. The villagers are raged by the incident which caused the lynching of one of the accused.

Mandla district, MP: Late Rajendra Soni, a BJP leader’s family was killed in a brutal incident along with six of his family members in a village in Mandala district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.

Among the deceased, two of them were kids of eight and nine years of age. Other murdered family members included, Vinod Soni, 40 his daughters, Preyasi and Ranu, his 8 year old son and relatives named Sajjan Soni and Deepak Soni.    The village area is 90km away from Mandala town and 370 km away from Bhopal, M.P.

The family of the leader were cruelly stabbed and put to death. During the afternoon one of the alleged killers was lynched by the villagers as per Times of India. Another killer tried to flee from the incident spot but was shot and injured by the Police official of the area. The incident is observed to be a result of land dispute between two families but the enquiry is going on by the police.

The alleged murderers are, Harish Soni and Santosh Soni; According to Venkateshwar Rao, IG Balaghat range they are relatives of the deceased Vinod Soni. Times of India quoted his statement which said, “They live in the neighborhood. Harish and Santosh barged into Vinod’s house with sharp-edged weapons and executed the crime. They were both drunk,”
