Cristiano Ronaldo shined as Juventus won captured a 2-0 win against Sampdoria FC on Sunday. Juventus is all set to clinch record extending ninth straight Serie A title and Ronaldo has always played an influential role in this regard. Cristiano Ronaldo equaled a record by scoring in 11 matches and reached the 30 goal mark after only 30 games in only his second season.

Ronaldo scored opener and his 31st goal in the match against Sampdoria beating them by 2-0 and clenching the Serie A title for the straight ninth time that too with two more games left in. Ronaldo requires only one more goal to break a tie for Juventus’s single-season record for the league goals set by Felice Borel in 1933-34.

Ronaldo breaking the deadlock in first-half stoppage time goal of the season and Federico Bernardeschi adding the second made Juventus move seven points clear of Inter Milan on the first spot with 83 points in 36 matches followed by Inter Milan on second spot with 76 points.

This is Maurizio Sarri’s first season as Juventus Coach and the team has already clinched the title that too with two more games to spare. “He has this incredible ability to recover. I think it’s just in his DNA, his ability to project himself on to the next goal, every time. His mental and physical recovery rate is definitely unique.”

“We might have some moments in a game where we don’t cover the penalty area to perfection, but everything is compensated by their individual strength. We’re talking about two players who combined to score 41 goals this season. That’s a world-class level.” Sarri said.

However Ronaldo emphasized team’s win over records the 35 year old Portuguese said “Records are always important, but the important thing is that the team wins. These things are nice, but the scoring title is a natural process that comes as a consequence of scoring to win games for the team.”
