The world of Show-biz finds itself becoming a point of discussion and feels insulted, following the ongoing investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The mystery is now connected to the drug trails of marijuana, CBD and hash in Bollywood. Another disturbing news came when the drug chats of some of the biggest Bollywood’s superstars that came into public domain.

Drugs, being a part of Bollywood’s dark side was partially known to the world, but never came out blatantly before.

Some of the big names like Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor were found in WhatsApp chats on Jaya Saha’s phone, Sushant Singh Rajput’s talent manager and a top executive of talent firm Kwan.

Rhea Chakraborty during her questioning before arrest on September 9 reportedly named kid stars, including Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh, in connection with drugs usage. However her lawyer has denied this claim. Rakul on being interrogated denied consuming drugs but admitted she tended Rhea’s drugs with her.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials reached Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor’s homes in Mumbai with summons issued to the actresses.

Deepika was found asking for ‘weed’ in a viral WhatsApp group chat with her manager Karishma Prakash dated on 28th October 2017, and of being admin of WhatsApp group involved in drug conversations.

She was questioned for about 6 hours by the NCB in which she accepted to drug chats with Karishma Prakash. Both of them were interrogated together and they admitted to their WhatsApp chats. Reports also suggest that NCB is not satisfied with Deepika’s answers.

Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan were also questioned separately at the NCB’s Ballard Estate office. Both the actresses denied consuming drugs. Although Shraddha Kapoor has accepted attending party with her ‘Chhichhore’ co-star but has denies all the allegations of consuming drugs in the party. Sara, on the other hand stated that “Sushant used to consume drugs while Kedarnath was shot.”

Mobile phones of actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh have been seized by the NCB. The NCB has also seized phones of talent manager Jaya Saha and fashion designer Simone Khambatta and sent them for forensic examination. On Saturday, the agency arrested Kshitij Ravi Prasad who is an executive producer in Dharmatic Entertainment (sister concern of Dharma Production) in the drugs case post his medical test and interrogating him for more than 24 hour. As of now 50 other Bollywood celebs are on NCB’s radar.

Actors particularly in Bollywood are idealised and are seen as the demi-gods, having millions of followers, endorsing n numbers of brands. They make characters real when they play the roles. People extol and adhere their works, trying to copy and fit in their boots, but the true unfathomable personality is hidden.
