Attention!! PUBG lovers, Indian replacement FAU-G Coming Soon…

Indian replacement of popular game Player’s Unknown battleground was announced on 4th September which will release in October-November.

Indian government imposed a ban on 118 Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite, and these apps were removed from the Google play store and from the Apple play store.

An Indian game developing company nCore Games, headquartered in Bengaluru has announced an “action” game called FAU-G Or Fearless And United: Guards on 4th September. The game is being seen as the Indian alternative to PUBG. The company nCore Games is co-founded by Vishal Gondal who is also the CEO of GOQII, Gondal says that FAU-G will not compete with PUBG.

FAU-G was announced by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on 4th September two days after 118 apps including PUBG were banned. The game is based on real scenarios encountered by the Indian Security Forces to deal with both domestic and foreign threats.

Indian actor and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar shared the poster of the game on Twitter. Talking about the game the 52 year old said “For youngsters in India, gaming is becoming an important form of entertainment. With FAU-G, I’m hoping that as they play the game they will learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers and also contribute to the families of the martyrs; and with this, each one of us has the ability to support PM Modi’s vision of Atma Nirbhar.”

The actor also informed that besides entertainment, players will also learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers. 20% of the net revenue generated will be donated to the Bharat Ke Veer Trust which is under the Home Ministry.

Vishal Gondal however denied to FAU-G being Indian alternative of PUBG he said “FAU-G was always in the pipeline and we were preparing for an October release. The ban on PUBG Mobile was coincidental.”

He also stated they have been working on the game since May-June 2020. However soon after Akshay tweeted giving details about the game, people started trolling Mr. Kumar pointing out that the FAU-G poster was plagiarised and some also alleged saying that this was the same project on which late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was working on and it was stolen when his computer’s data was reportedly deleted.

The poster of the game is said to be the ripoff of the artist Phet Thai’s original Shutterstock image.

Some poeple also alleges that the poster of the game is also similar to “Call of Duty Modern Warfare: Remastered,” which was released in 2016.

The game is however slated to release in October- November and will it’s first level will feature the Galwan-valley backdrop and will be available on Google play-store and the Apple app store.
