At Least 10 Died After A Building Collapsed In Bhiwandi, Maharashtra

Bhiwandi, Maharastra:

After a tragic incident from Maharashtra at least 10 people died when a building at Patel Complex in Narpoli, Bhiwandi collapsed at 3.40 am in the morning. According to reports, it is feared that at least 10 people along with children have died and many are feared to be trapped under the debris of the building.

According to current reports, 20 people have been rescued from the team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). Rescue operations are still underway.

22 people have been injured in the incident.

President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have written on Twitter, expressing their sorrow on the grim incident.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Saddened by the building collapse in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra . Condolence to the bereaved families. Praying for a quick recovery of those injured. Rescue operations are underway and all possible assistance is being provided to the affected”.

President Ramnath Kovind also tweeted and said, “The lose of lives in building collapse at Bhiwandi. Maharashtra is quite distressing . in this hour of grief my thoughts and prayers are with the accident viticms.I wish speedy recovery of the injured . Local authorities are coordinating rescue and relief efforts”.

Some sources fro. NDRF team said, around 20 to 25 people are still under the debris of the broken building. Rescue teams are trying harder to save them.

Rescued people were rushed to hospitals and are under doctor’s view.

This building was made in 1984 and around 20 families were living inside the building.
