4th Day Of War Between Armenia & Azerbaijan, Both Denying Peace Talks

Armenian, Azerbaijan:

Azerbaijan and Armenian armed forces entered into the fourth day of war on Wednesday. Azerbaijan and Armenian enclaves of Nagorno-Karabakh informed that the aggressive attacks had occurred from both sides from different directions across the line of actual control that divides the two countries.

The war is being fought well beyond the borders of the enclaves, and is now being feared to unfold into all-front war between the former Soviet republics of Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Over 100 people including soldiers and civilians were killed in the war and many more fatalities are expected with the ongoing war.

On Tuesday, over a phone call between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mr. Nikol said, he was not at present pondering to request help under a post-Soviet security treaty but did not rule out doing so. Russian news agencies quoted Pashinyan as saying, “Armenia will ensure its security, with the participation of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) or without it.”

Mr. Nikol said that the probability of Russian military intrusion in the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute has not been yet discussed between him and Putin. On being questioned about any possibility of talks with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, he categorically denied it.

And on the other hand, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that, the peace talks could not take place with the ongoing fight.

Nagorno-Karabakh which broke away from Azerbaijan and is no longer seen as an independent republic nation by any country and is originally a breakaway region that is centred in Azerbaijan but run by ethnic Armenians and is aided by Armenia. In anytime, an all-front war could be declared any moment by fetching Russia and Turkey in, close allies of Azerbaijan.

Some recent reports claimed that on Wednesday, seven more civilians were informed to be wounded by shelling of the city of Terter, which encircles Nagorno-Karabakh, by the Azeri prosecutor`s office.

Ethnic Armenian forces sought to retrieve fall away territory by counter-attacking in the direction of Madagiz, but were resisted by Azeri forces, the Azerbaijan defence ministry said.

The Armenian defence ministry opined about the Azeri army bombarding entire front line throughout the night and two Azeri drones being shot down in the town of Stepanakert, Nagorno-Karabakh`s administrative centre.

For as much the fresh motion of war broke out on Sunday, dozens of people have been announced killed and hundreds wounded.
