The administration of Indore city has implemented the “left-right” rule for the staggered opening of shops amid the coronavirus pandemic, allowing the vendors to only put their small shops at the left and the right side of the roads.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the sale has gone down heavily,” said the boy.

A few days ago, a poor coconut vendor climbed a high tower in Bhopal, because the officials of Municipal Corporation of Bhopal has seized his handcart. Similar incidents were reported from many parts of the country amid the lockdown, as the officials of civic bodies are trying to fetch bribe or showing their power to the poor.

The poor has suffered enormously in the pandemic. Many Big and Small scale businesses have been severely hit.

Many leaders from Congress and BJP have demanded the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan to cancel the “left-right” system.
